YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 2, ARMENPRESS. Legendary Indian conductor, winner of numerous awards Zubin Mehta considers Armenians a talented nation. The renowned conductor mentioned about this in an interview with journalists in Yerevan.  The concert of  Israel Philharmonic Orchestra will take place on September 3 at Armenian National Academic Theater of Opera and Ballet after Alexander Spendiaryan headed by the conductor within the framework of "Yerevan Perspectives" 16th International Music Festival 

“It is a great honor for me to be in Armenia for the first time. It is an honor not only for me but also for the entire orchestra. I have had very little contact with the Armenian community; my father took courses at Ivan Dalamyan in New York. My father always talked about his greatest teacher. I have many other Armenian fellows in Vienna”, “Armenpress” reports, Zubin Metha mentioned.

The organizers informed that the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra will visit the memorial of the victims of the Armenian Genocide before the concert.
