YEREVAN, AUGUST 31, ARMENPRESS. On October 3 international half marathon “Yerevan RunArm 2015” will take place in Yerevan for the first time. The latter will be held annually aimed at promoting the expansion of the sport, propagandizing healthy lifestyle and developing sport tourism in Armenia. “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of “Yerevan RunArm 2015” that legendary French-Armenian footballer Youri Djorkaeff and his brother Denis Djorkaeff, Charles Aznavour’s son Misha Aznavour, presidents and vice presidents of a number of European federations, runners of tens of countries have already reacted to AAF President Robert Emmiyan’s call.

Yerevan half marathon is organized under the auspices of Yerevan Municipality, the Armenian Athletic Federation, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia.

The regional running competitions of RunArm will begin in March 2016 and Yerevan international marathon is expected to be held in 2020.
