YEREVAN, AUGUST 4, ARMENPRESS. The Yerevan International Half Marathon, which will be first held in Yerevan on October 3, promises to be unprecedented with its nature and the number of participants. Robert Emmiyan, the President of the Armenian athletics federation and long jump record-holder, told Armenpress the aforementioned.

“I am very glad to be in Mother Armenia again. My dream was to have a marathon running in our capital. It is important both for athletics and the country’s reputation. This will also promote tourism in our country.”, said the legendary long jumper.  

Emmiyan thanked all the supporters and the sponsors, especially ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, the Government of Armenia, Yerevan Municipality, Armenia Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs.

The Yerevan International Half Marathon is organized with the support of ACBA-Credit Agricole Bank, Yerevan Municipality, the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, the Armenian Athletic Federation, the National Olympic Committee of Armenia etc.
