up results

YEREVAN, JULY 30, ARMENPRESS. The conference on “Issues of Convergence between Western Armenian and Eastern Armenian”, which was launched by the RA Ministry of Diaspora and the Hrachya Atcharyan Language Institute of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Armenia (NAS RA), continues. As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Ministry of Diaspora of the Republic of Armenia, the session was moderated by the Deputy Minister of Diaspora Serzh Sraponyan and the chief editor of the “Bagin” magazine of Beirut Jakob Palian.

Different relevant specialists from Armenia and Diaspora gave speeches and brief reports on the issue after which a discussion was held.

The Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan gave a summing up speech. She expressed gratitude to the participants of the conference for accepting the invitation and coming to this very important conference ready to share their experience and capabilities.

The Minister mentioned that this is the start, the first practical step done aimed to converge the two branches of the Armenian language. The next step must be the creation of three different committees which, using the modern information technologies, will work in different ways, convene sessions, arrange discussions, publish articles and will introduce specific proposals and ways to solve the problems.
