YEREVAN, JULY 28, ARMENPRESS. Armenian-Chinese “Shanxi-Nairit” caoutchouc producing factory operates with negative profits and it can ensure profit for Armenia only after overcoming the existing 150 million USD loss. As “Armenpress” reports, “Shanxi-Nairit” co-chair Iosif Isayan informed about this during a discussion at the National Assembly. “Since 2010 the company has never had profits. As a result, 150 million USD loss has been formed. It is the same as in case of Armenian “Nairit”: Conditioned by the difference of the cost price and the market price. The cost price of 1 ton was 3 thousand and 9 hundred USD, the sell price was 3 thousand and 8 hundred USD in 2014, but it was the best year”, Isayan informed.

According to him, the production power of the factory is 30 thousand tons, but till now most caoutchouc was produced in 2014: 20 thousand tons. “I think that the factory has an opportunity to operate more productively and with profit in the future. It will happen if the foreseen 30 thousand tons are produced and some expenditures are reduced. But we cannot expect profits soon. We have 40% of investment there and we can expect profits only after overcoming the 150 million loss”, added the co-chair of the factory.
