Yerevan Deputy Police Chief calls on protesters to open Baghramyan Avenue

YEREVAN, JULY 4, ARMENPRESS: The Deputy Police Chief of Yerevan Valery Osipyan called on the participants of the rally, held against the electricity tariff increase, to remove the trash bins, serving as barricades, and open Baghramyan Avenue by their own initiative. In the talk with the protesters, Osipyan assured that in the result of the professional actions, the police can open Baghramyan Avenue very quickly. “Now I officially state that by this moment the police are not going to use force against you and take any measures. You just take the trash bins away by your own initiative and open the Baghramyan Avenue and go to the Square of Liberty to continue the sit strike. If you want to hold a peaceful rally on the Baghramyan Avenue, just apply to the Yerevan Municipality, get a permission and the police in that case will provide for the peaceful process of your rally”, - stated Osipyan, Armenpress reports.
