US Embassy in Armenia is concerned with the situation in downtown Yerevan
23:31, 28 June 2015YEREVAN, 28 JUNE, ARMENPRESS: US Embassy in Yerevan has issued a statement concerning the situation on Baghramyan avenue, Yerevan.
The Embassy expressed its concern by tense situation in downtown Yerevan on its official Twitter account.
“Urge all sides to display peaceful, restrained behavior befitting democratic values,” the statement goes.
The protests against the electricity price hikes continue on one of the main avenues of Yerevan, Baghramyan Avenue. The standoff between the police and the protesters continues.
