YEREVAN, 16 JUNE, ARMENPRESS: The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia informs that at the expense of “Electric Network of Armenia” the workers of “Nairit Plant” CJSC were not paid and will not be paid salary. In reply to Armenpress’s question, the ministry informed that the information being circulated on the media that “the government has asked the “Electric Network of Armenia” to lend money to “Nairit Plant”CJSC to pay its workers’ salary is not true”.
The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of the Republic of Armenia stated, “As for the debt to “Electric Network of Armenia”, “Nairit Plant” CJSC has gone into debt of 1.1 milliard AMD to “Electric Network of Armenia” in return for electricity they received since 2010. To get the debt back the “Electric Network of Armenia” appealed to the court against “Nairit Plant” CJSC in April, 2015 and the case is now in the phase of proceedings”.
