Serzh Sargsyan attends opening ceremony of Hayastan Cinema and visits Yerevan Zoo

YEREVAN, 01 June, ARMENPRESS. Today on June 1, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan attended the opening ceremony of the Hayastan Cinema in Malatia-Sebastia district of Yerevan. The press service of the Armenian President’s Office informed Armenpress that during the visit Serzh Sargsyan got acquainted with the reconstruction works of the theater since 2013 and opportunities of the family entertainment center (Cinema, gaming salons, musical entertainment center). The works’ amount is totaled to over 8 million US dollars.
There are food outlets, bars and restaurants for organizing the family rest. In parallel with the reconstruction of the cinema, the adjacent park about 1 hectare was also renovated, where over 500 different species of trees were planted. The lighting formation of the garden and structure completely was built, as well as the garden’s fountains were renovated.
Charitable programs will also be implemented at the center, as well training courses to be organized for the young filmmakers and film technicians.
Afterwards, the President Serzh Sargsyan with his grandchildren visited the Zoological Garden of Yerevan, where within framework of the park renovation and development in 2014-2015, large-scale works were carried out, which hadn’t been implemented since the foundation of the park.
