Armenian PM participated in session of Eurasian Intergovernmental Council

YEREVAN, 29 MAY, ARMENPRESS. The delegation led by Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, who is on a working visit to Kazakhstan, participated today in the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council. As the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Government of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the Prime Ministers of the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union gave speeches during the session.

 In his speech, Prime Minister of Armenia Hovik Abrahamyan mentioned that the process of implementation of the decisions and agreements signed with the Eurasian Economic Union over the past year shows that all the participants have the willingness to deepen the integration. According to Hovik Abrahamyan, the close trade and economic relations, the relations in terms of investments and technologies must help raise the level of modernization and competitiveness of the economies of the member states. Armenia’s Prime Minister touched upon several items on the agenda, expressed his views and presented his proposals.

 During the session, the heads of governments of the EEU member states discussed about twenty issues for the future development of cooperation within the EEU, as well as signed and approved several documents that enshrine the partnership between the member states in several economic sectors.

 It was decided to hold the next session in Belarus in September.

The session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council was followed by the private talks between the heads of governments of EEU member states and Prime Minister of Vietnam Nguyễn Tấn Dũng, after which an agreement was signed between the member states of the Eurasian Economic Union and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam.
