YEREVAN, MAY 27, ARMENPRESS: On May 26 within the framework of the National Assembly President’s official visit the Armenia’s NA deputy, Head of Armenia-Canada Friendship Group Hovhannes Sahakyan and the Head of Canada-Armenia Group Harold Albrecht in a solemn ceremony signed a joint declaration of the Friendship Groups in Ottawa. The press service of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the declaration is aimed at strengthening of relations between the Parliament of Canada and the RA National Assembly and expanding of the dialogue at international platforms and mutual support.

Adopting the joint declaration the parties declared that they will seek to expand already existing good relations with the spirit of friendly mutual understanding between the parliaments of the two countries. They will seek to boost the close and direct cooperation between Canada-Armenia and Armenia-Canada Parliamentary Groups. The parties encourage the joint works of the two parliaments aimed at the rule of law, the exchange of experience in fighting for human rights and terrorism and the implementation of the joint programs.
