YEREVAN, 26 MAY, ARMENPRESS. Haypost CJSC has put into circulation a new stamp dedicated to the Armenian poet, French Resistance fighter and national hero of France Missak Manouchian. As “Armenpress” reports, the stamp's official cancellation ceremony took place at the newly built new technologies development and training center of Haypost CJSC on May 26 The postage stamp depicts Missak Manouchian at the background of The Arc de Triomphe in Paris, the “Red poster” (l'Affiche Rouge), the Eternal flame and a fragment of a letter addressed to his wife Meline Manouchian.

French Ambassador to Armenia Jean-Francois Charpentier attached importance to the circulation of the stamp and stressed that Manouchian serves as the best example of a self-dedicated person and citizen.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Tadevosyan emphasized that it was worth mentioning that the stamp was being put into circulation at a time when the world is celebrating the 70^th anniversary of the Victory in the struggle against Fascism.

President of the Union of Philatelists of Armenia Hovik Musayelyanadded that the cancellation of such a stamp is a major event for stamp collectors.
