Traian Hristea reconfirms EU commitment to continue dialogue with Armenia

YEREVAN, MAY 26, ARMENPRESS: The membership of the Republic of Armenia in the Eurasian Economic Union is not an obstacle to continue and deepen the cooperation with the European Union. The Head of the EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea reconfirmed the idea that the European Union wants to continue the dialogue with Armenia, as the cooperation with any of the Eastern Partnership member countries is quite important for the European Union.
“The cooperation with any of the Eastern Partnership member countries is quite important for us, what we once again witnessed during the Riga Summit. We reconfirmed that the Eastern Partnership member countries are independent in making decisions concerning their future and can get involved in any integration process without any obstacles and problems. Thus, the membership of the Republic of Armenia in the Eurasian Economic Union cannot be an obstacle to continue and deepen the cooperation with the European Union”, - stated the Head of the EU delegation to Armenia Traian Hristea, Armenpress reports.
