Nagorno-Karabakh conflict

YEREVAN, 27 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. France stays true to its commitment to finding a negotiated and long-term resolution for the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group. According to “Armenpress”, this is what the speaker of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of France said during an April 27 question-and-answer session in response to a French journalist’s question regarding President Francois Hollande’s visit to Azerbaijan.

“France is fully loyal within the framework of the Minsk Group, which it is a Co-Chair with the U.S. and Russia and has assumed the commitment to find a negotiated and long-term resolution for the prolonged Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This status-quo is in the interests of neither Armenia nor Azerbaijan,” the speaker mentioned.

Touching upon the meeting that the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan had in Paris at the initiative of the French President on 27 October 2014, the speaker of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs mentioned that that meeting provided the opportunity to reach an agreement on the exchange of information between the sides, which is already in progress.
