YEREVAN, APRIL 25, ARMENPRESS: An Armenian Genocide centennial commemoration ceremony took place at the Komitas Monument in Paris on April 24 in the evening, attended by the Prime Minister of France Manuel Valls and the Mayor of Paris Anne Hidalgo.

Armenpress reports, citing Nouvelles d`Armenie that Manuel Valls stated that the primary duty of everyone is to face the reality and the committed crime and fact that what had happened in 1915 in the Ottoman Empire was genocide. The French PM called historical the Armenian Genocide centennial commemoration ceremony, held at the Komitas Monument and reminded that France has always been next to the heirs of the victims.

The present welcomed the statement of Valls and waved the tricolor of Armenia and posters “Memory, justice and compensation”.
