ISTANBUL, 25 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Fight to the end for the sake of the restoration of justice. By such belief the central event of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide was held in Istanbul's Taksim Square. During the first half of the day various events were launched, but in the central event the attendees exceeded the number of the participants of the previous events. At the beginning of the ceremony, the Armenians from abroad wrote their wishes and hang on the "Tree of Dreams", which was placed in the front of the French Consulate.

Although like every year, not far from Taksim Sqaure, this year too the Turkish nationalists have organized again a protest demonstration in the day of the Centennial of the Armenian Genocide. The motto of demonstration was the following phrase. "We have not carried out the genocide, we have defended our homeland. We will put an end to the lying of the Genocide”. However, the Turkish fascist circles could not prevent commemorative ceremony of the Armenian Genocide.

As correspondent of “Armenpress” reports, hundreds of participants have made many calls to acknowledge the Armenian Genocide, not to participate in the denial and not to remain silent. By the accompaniment of the hymn “Lord have mercy" the attendees sat on the floor, holding in their hands the posters of the Armenian Genocide victims, Hrant Dink and Sevak Balikci.
