EDB to provide $150 mln dollar loan for North-South Road Corridor construction

YEREVAN, 14 APRIL, ARMENPRESS. Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan received Chairman of the Management Board of the Eurasian Development Bank (EDB) Dmitry Pankin. Greeting the guest, the Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the cooperation with the Eurasian Development Bank and attached importance to the implementation of joint programs in different spheres with the support of the EDB. Dmitry Pankin expressed gratitude for the reception and mentioned that the EDB was ready to discuss the perspectives of implementation of investment projects in Armenia.

 Afterwards, in the presence of Hovik Abrahamyan, the Republic of Armenia and the Eurasian Development Bank signed the Agreement on the Provision of an Investment Loan from the Funds of the Eurasian Economic Association’s Anti-Crisis Fund to Fund the Project (Tranche 4) for Construction of the North-South Road Corridor. According to the agreement, the Republic of Armenia will be provided with a loan equivalent to $150 million dollars. The document was signed by Minister of Transport and Communication of the Republic of Armenia Gagik Beglaryan and President of the Management Board of the Eurasian Development Bank Dmitry Pankin.
