Former Argentinean FM awarded with “Mkhitar Gosh” medal

BUENOS AIRES, APRIL 1, ARMENPRESS: By the decree of the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan, the former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina Jorge Taiana was awarded with the medal “Mkhitar Gosh” for his considerable contribution in the recognition of the Armenian Genocide.
Armenpress reports, citing PrensaArmenia.com.ar that the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Argentina Alexan Harutyunyan handed the award to Jorge Taiana.
The former Minister of Foreign Affairs of Argentina Jorge Taiana stressed that he is pleased with such an honor and in his decisions he was sincere and was guided by humanitarian drives. He also stated that it is quite important for him to get such a prize on the eve of the Armenian Genocide centennial.
