YEREVAN, 27 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The price raise of the hotel services is conditioned by the devaluation of the Armenian dram.

Marine Kpryan, the Vice President of the Armenia Tour Operators Association stressed this in the meeting with journalists held on March 27. “All the hotels have raised their prices about 20 percent. Their arguments didn’t concern the fact of the large number of guests’ arrival in Armenia regarding the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, but due to the devaluation of AMD during the last months," as “Armenpress” reports she noted.

Kpryan also added, that especially the official delegations will arrive in Yerevan on the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocede, but most of the tourists do not want come to Armenia in those days. Besides this, I would like to thank Vigen Sargsyan, the coordinator of events of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, who, about one month ago, invited all the heads of tourism organizations and introduced the schedule of upcoming events  of this year, which is a positive step”, he emphasized.
