17-hour concert to commemorate Armenian Genocide centennial in Buenos Aires

BUENOS AIRES, MARCH 27, ARMENPRESS: Ahead of the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, a 17-hour classical concert will be held on March 28 in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires, attended by more than 100 musicians and singers of the state and youth symphonic orchestras of the country. Armenpress reports, citing PrensaArmenia.com.ar that the works of Mozart, Verdi, Aram Khachaturian and Arno Babajanian will sound at the concert.

Santiago Kutsurian, one of the Argentinean symphonic orchestra’s musicians, stated that via music the musicians will express their anger for the genocides. “With the help of music we will demand justice and will express our indignation towards the Armenian Genocide and will demand that the crimes against the humanity are recognized and condemned”,- he said, adding that in the second part of the concert the works of the Argentinean musicians will sound.

The concert will be concluded with the works of Charles Aznavour.
