YEREVAN, 26 MARCH, ARMENPRESS. The Development Foundation of Armenia, which launched its activities in late 2014, has already recorded its first results. During a press conference, the Foundation’s acting director Arman Khachatryan informed that the Foundation’s targets are the promotion of imports and exports, as well as the development of tourism. “Throughout its short existence, the Foundation has already held nearly 20 events, the results of which will be seen over time. I attach special importance to the investment program being carried out with the Swiss Azad pharmaceutical company, which was launched nearly a week ago. The company will be making investments worth 10-15 million Euros in the years to come and will be opening a pharmaceutical laboratory and later factory,” Khachatryan said, as “Armenpress” reports.

 He set aside Armenian producers’ participation in the Prodexpo exposition organized in Russia and mentioned that producers have received six gold and two silver medals in different categories. “Based on the number of contracts signed in Russia, we predict that large companies’ exports will grow by 10 percent, while small companies’ exports will grow by nearly 30 percent,” he added.
