STEPANAKERT, 3 MARCH, ARMENPRESS-ARTSAKHPRESS. Sanderk textile company is currently the only one of its kind in Artsakh. Talking about the amount of production, Director of Sanderk Textile Factory Karen Chirkin mentioned that the factory produces nearly 10 tons of 5 types of cotton clothes a month and imports the required raw materials from Central Asia.

As “Armenpress” reports, citing “Artsakhpress”, the factory currently has 48 machines and will be adding another 6-10 machines after the opening of the sewing unit in a month. Last year, Sanderk expanded its market and, after agreements with certain companies in Yerevan, sold most of its products in Yerevan.

The director added that the factory needs to import more high-quality textile in order to enter the global market. “First, we need dye since the textile produced in Artsakh is currently dyed in Gyumri. For that, we sent two of our employees to China to study the experience of textile factories there. As a result, we reached an initial agreement with Chinese experts to bring dye and install modern equipment,” he said.
