OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs consider Azerbaijan an aggressor: Alexander Markarov

YEREVAN, 5 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. For the first time ever, the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs declared Azerbaijan an aggressor. This is what political scientist Alexander Markarovsaid during a February 5 press conference. “Unlike the previous balanced statements made by the Minsk Group Co-Chairs, for the first time, the Co-Chairs accused Azerbaijan of invasion, which by itself is considered an expression of aggression,” he said, as “Armenpress” reports. According to the political scientist, the Minsk Group Co-Chairs view Armenia’s steps as adequate and proportionate.

He mentioned that the Minsk Group Co-Chairs factually accused Azerbaijan of putting its commitments to continue the negotiation process at risk with its inadequate actions. “The OSCE Minsk Group also expressed its position on the official Baku’s statements that the negotiations in the format of the Minsk Group Co-Chairs are exhausted and sent a clear message to our neighbors-either they stop negotiating in the format of the OSCE Minsk Group or be kind enough to play by the rules of the game,” Markarov underscored.
