No Mkhitaryan problem, insists Watzke

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 5, ARMENPRESS. The Bundesliga outfit have downplayed suggestions that the Armenian is unhappy at the Signal Iduna Park amid rumours linking him with Juventus. As reports “Armenpress” citing Goal.com, Borussia Dortmund CEO Hans-Joachim Watzke has insisted that the club do not have any problems with Henrikh Mkhitaryan.

Shakhtar Donetsk coach Mircea Lucescu recently claimed that his former pupil is unhappy with life at Signal Iduna Park, fuelling speculation about a potential transfer at the end of the season.

The 26-year-old's agent Mino Raiola then went on to confirm this week that Mkhitaryan has set his sights on a summer exit, with Juventus keeping a close eye on his situation.

However, Watzke is unaware of any problems with the Armenia international and took a swipe at the forward's agent for unnecessarily stirring the proverbial pot.

"Perhaps there is a problem between Raiola and Borussia Dortmund," Watzke told Kicker. "But there is definitely no problem between Mkhitaryan and the club."

The attacking midfielder has been struggling to find his best form with BVB floundering at the bottom of the Bundesliga and has yet to find the net in 14 league appearances so far this term.

Mkhitaryan has a contract with Dortmund until June 2017.
