YEREVAN, 4 FEBRUARY, ARMENPRESS. During thte official investigation into the murder of one of the students of the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Institute, investigators recorded several flaws made by the administration and the heads of separated subdivisions. This is what Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan announced in response to a question from head of the faction of the Country of Law Party (OEK) Heghine Bisharyan during a question-and-answer with government officials at the National Assembly. “The head of the Vazgen Sargsyan Military Institute has already been dismissed. Besides, I have ordered to dismiss three deputy heads, the heads of divisions in charge of replenishment, troop service and disciplinary activities and up to 30 other people, some of which will be dismissed from the armed forces, will be appointed to lower offices and will be moved from the military institute to the forces,” Ohanyan informed, as “Armenpress” reports.

 Touching upon the details of the incident, the Defense Minister emphasized that the murder was the result of an interpersonal conflict. The minister informed that some students had drunk alcohol prior to the murder, after which the victim and several other students had gotten into a dispute. “The dispute was followed by several beatings and eventually led to murder,” the minister clarified.
