Armenian Ambassador hands credentials over to President of Ireland

YEREVAN, 29 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Armenia’s Ambassador to Ireland Armen Sargsyan (seat in London) handed his credentials over to President of Ireland Michael Higgins in Dublin. As the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the handing of the credentials was followed by private talks between Armen Sargsyan and Michael Higgins. Greeting Ambassador Sargsyan, the President of Ireland congratulated the latter on assuming office and expressed confidence that the Ambassador’s longstanding experience in diplomacy and politics would contribute to the strengthening of Armenian-Irish relations to the fullest.

 Expressing gratitude for the reception, Armen Sargsyan affirmed Armenia’s interest in developing cooperation with the friendly Ireland.

 During the private talks, the sides discussed the agenda for cooperation in politics, trade, economy and culture, as well as a broad range of issues of common interest.
