Monitoring system on border has been improved

Monitoring system on border has been improved

YEREVAN, 27 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Seyran Ohanyan is certain that there will come a day when the frontline will be armed with high technological equipment that will make soldiers’ military service easier on the border. However, for now, such changes are impossible due to the ongoing shootings on the borderline. “In this case, we can’t equip the frontline with different technologies quickly, not because we don’t have the funding, but because the situation doesn’t allow us to do that. However, taking into consideration the current problems, we are improving the monitoring system that includes the furnishing of different monitoring spots and commanders’ spots according to the front and depth, the equipping of those spots with different types of adequate visibility and hotspot seeing devices through which there have been cases in the Armenia and Artsakh sectors when we have guided the actions and movements of the opponent’s groups, providing the opportunity to strike them and prevent their advancement,” Seyran Ohanyan said, as “Armenpress” reports.
