Majority of people of 31 countries view events of 1915 as Genocide
YEREVAN, 26 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. More than 70% of people in 31 countries support international recognition of the Armenian Genocide, including 33% of the people of Turkey. As “Armenpress” reports, the surveys were conducted by the International Foundation for Political Innovations and www.fondationshoah.org.
Based on data published in the book “Coming Memories”, more than 70% of people in 31 countries say what the Young Turks did to the Armenian people in 1915 was Genocide. The material and studies are related to the conflicts and tragic events that took place in the previous century, including during WWI and WWII. The participants of the surveys and the studies were youth of the 31 countries ranging between the ages of 16 and 29.
