YEREVAN, 26 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. The ensuing trial for the case of actor Vardan Petrosyan is in progress at the court of general jurisdiction of Kotayk Province where the sides are giving short responses. Vardan Petrosyan has ended his final speech.

“There are two things that amazed me during these proceedings. The first was how I was taken to prison on a stretcher after being arrested, and the second was the horrible lie that I heard during the last trial. I know that you know that I know…I know why things turned out this way,” Petrosyan said, adding that he was very grateful to his attorney Nikolay Baghdasaryan, who was working in very heavy conditions. “I tell you, NIkolay, I have to stop working with you since it’s very hard to resist the pressure. I would also like to thank the journalists who provided coverage of these proceedings and for their kind words. I would also like to thank my cellmates who helped me get back on my feet,” Vardan Petrosyan said in closing.

Judge Vaghinak Mkrtchyan will announce the verdict on January 29 at 17:00.
