Azerbaijan makes diversion attempts in direction of Berd (updated)

YEREVAN, 24 JANUARY, ARMENPRESS. At around 12:00 on January 24, Azerbaijan made diversion attempts in the direction of several military positions located in the Berd region of Tavush Province. As press speaker of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia Artsrun Hovhannisyan reports to “Armenpress”, Armenian guards noticed the diversion group between the positions, fought against it and nearly eliminated the Azerbaijani subdivision. The Armenian subdivisions didn’t suffer any casualties. Currently, the situation is stable and is under full control of the subdivisions of the Armenian Armed Forces.

According to the OFFICIAL message: 

On January 24, Azerbaijan violated once again the ceasefire regime and bombed bordering military positions and residences in the northeastern sector (Tavush Province) of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border. The opponent made diversion attempts in different sectors of the borderline. 

The Armenian side’s actions and operations suspended the diversion groups’ advancement to different sectors of the contact line. The members of the diversion groups suffered a large amount of casualties and were thrown back. The number of casualties of the opponent is being specified. The Armenian side doesn’t have any injured or casualties.

The Armenian Armed Forces continues to control the situation on the border along the contact line and will take adequate action in the future as well.
