Ceasefire regime violation frequency reduces: Armenia’s MOD

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, ARMENPRESS: In the northeastern sector of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border during the last day again violations of the ceasefire regime were registered, mainly shots of irregular character. In comparison with the previous days, the frequency of the ceasefire regime violations has reduced. The press service of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Armenia told Armenpress that in accordance with the obtained operative data, within the period ranging from January 23 to January 24, the rival violated the ceasefire regime on the line of contact of the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border around 86 times, during which more than 600 shots from different caliber weapons were fired in the direction of the Armenian military positions.  
The vanguard units of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia, however, kept the tactical operational situation under constant control, taking retaliatory actions when necessary. The Armenian side opened response fire 11 times. 178 shots were made in the direction of the rival.
