Georgia and Ukraine light candles in memory of Gyumri murder victims

YEREVAN, JANUARY 22, ARMENPRESS: The Saint Etchmiadzin Church of Tbilisi held candle lighting in the memory of the 6-month-old Seryozha Avetisyan, who died on January 19 and the other six members of Avetisyans’ family, violently killed on January 12 in Gyumri. The press service of the Georgian Armenian Diocese told Armenpress that the Church officer Father Manuk Zeynalyan applied to the people and called to commemorate the members of Avetisyans’ family and overcome the grief with a prayer.
Analitika reports that the Ukrainians laid flowers in front of the Armenian Embassy to Ukraine and held candle lighting in the memory of Avetisyans. The event was attended by the Ambassador of Armenia to Ukraine Andranik Manukyan and the Chairman of the Youth Union of the Ukraine’s Armenians Vardan Harutyunyan.
