France trying to resume dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 17, ARMENPRESS: France, as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chair country, is trying to resume the dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia in Karabakh conflict settlement issue. Armenpress reports, citing the Azerbaijani APA News Agency that the French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Pascal Monnier stated about it.
“Unfortunately, some time ago the tension between Armenia and Azerbaijan escalated, and it still continues. We are in favor of peace, which promotes prosperity”, - said Pascal Monnier, adding that oil-price fall and ruble’s decline show that the tension does not serve the sustainable development of economy.
“We stand for peace and stability in the region”, - stated the French Ambassador, emphasizing that the resumption of dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan will accelerate the peace process.
