YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 26, ARMENPRESS. The delegation led by the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Galust Sahakyan continues its working visit to the French Republic. MPs of the National Assembly Vahram Baghdasaryan, Ara Babloyan, Karen Avagyan, and Armen Rostomyan have been included in the delegation. The Information and Public Relations Department of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed "Armenpress" that the delegation of the National Assembly had a meeting with the President of the Senate of France Gerard Larcher.

At the course of the meeting, Galust Sahakyan congratulated Gerard Larcher on the occasion of election on the post of the President of the Senate of France. Also, Galust Sahakyan reflected on the Armenian-French relations and stated with satisfaction that today the ties reached a unique level based on the age-old historical and cultural relations between the two peoples.

Among other things, Galust Sahakyan invited the President of the Senate of France Gerard Lercher to visit Armenia in April of 2015 to participate in the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. In addition, the Chairman of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia noted that he is hopeful that the President of the Senate of France Gerard Larcher will be consistent in introducing and ratifying the new draft law on the criminalization of the Genocide denial.
