YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS: The session on the criminal case of the two members of the Azerbaijani subversive-intelligence group – Shahbaz Guliyev and Dilham Askerov, continued on October 30 at the Nagorno Karabakh Court of First Instance, Stepanakert. As Armenpress reports citing Artsakhpress, the defendants again gave contradictory testimonies.

Particularly, Dilham Askerov, who had said he crossed the Nagorno Karabakh border to find the gold concealed in Shahumyan region, today stated that before reaching Karvachar he had understood that the story on the concealed gold was false. Nevertheless, he continued his way through different dwelling places of the Shahumyan region, making videos with the camera of Hasan Hasanov, a killed member of the group.

As reported earlier, in the result of the operative investigation activities carried out by the NKR Defense Ministry, the NKR National Security Service and the relevant units of the NKR Police, a criminal case was initiated, based on the collected preliminary materials, in connection with the subversive operations carried out by the Azerbaijani citizens, who were arrested in Shahumyan region. As “Armenpress” was informed from the NKR General Prosecutor's Office earlier, in the result of the operative investigation activities carried out by the NKR Defense Ministry, the NKR National Security Service and the relevant units of the NKR Police, in Shahumyan region of NKR, Azerbaijani citizens, who illegally crossed the state border were discovered and arrested.
