YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. The Minister of the Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia Aramayis Grigoryan sent a message on the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer. The Public Relation Department of the Ministry of Nature Protection of the Republic of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that in the letter particularly runs as follows:

“Dear compatriots,

Each year on September 16 the International Day for the Preservation of the Ozone Layer is celebrated. The preservation of the Ozone layer is a universal human problem, in the solution of which every state plays an important role. Though the Ozone layer is the 1/10000 part of the atmosphere density, but the effect of its preservation is invaluable for the environment. It absorbs significant part of dangerous ultraviolet rays coming from the Sun to the Earth and protects flora and fauna like a shield.

There is still a lot of work to do and Armenia continues to fight for the restoration of Ozone layer with international community.”
