YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS: On September 11, Foreign Minister of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan received the French parliamentary delegation headed by Deputy Chairman of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Senator Alan Neri.

Minister Nalbandyan highly appraised the contribution of the French parliamentarians to development of Armenian-French relations and noted that the active contacts in parliamentary format highly promote development of Armenian-French relations, Press, Information and Public Relations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia told Armenpress.

Minister welcomed the visit of the delegation to Armenia and Artsakh, stressing that the French senators and MPs said they are impressed by the visit to Artsakh and by their meetings with the authorities and residents. According to them, Artsakh people, living in difficult conditions, have reached success in consolidation and development of statehood. The delegation members assured that they will go on with their efforts directed toward expansion of Armenian-French relations.

Issues related to cooperation of the Armenian and French delegations at parliamentary conferences of international organizations were also discussed. With the guests’ request, Minister Nalbandyan presented the efforts exerted by Armenia and OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chair Countries in the direction of Karabakh conflict resolution. A number of other regional and international issues were referred at the meeting as well.
