BUENOS AIRES, SEPTEMBER 11, ARMENPRESS: The Buenos Aires City Council has rejected the project on constructing a square named “Azerbaijani Republic” in the city. From the very first moment of discussion the draft project was criticized by the Armenian community of Argentina and the lie and the fraud invented by Azerbaijan were possible to reveal thanks to their very efforts and activeness, Armenpress reports citing “PrensaArmenia.com”.

The matter is that the project was dedicated to the Republic of Azerbaijan in honor of the thing that Armenia, allegedly involving Azerbaijan in the Karabakh war, has overclouded the first years of independence of that country. But in the recent years Azerbaijan, as a state extending peacekeeping activity in the region, has done its best to establish peace and to maintain economic and political stability for its people.

There is a concern that with such an innocent project Azerbaijan wants to save its face, to increase the reputation and to conceal the constant violations of human rights in that country.

After the noise voiced by the Armenian community, the author of the project Alexandra Kabalero has apologized and stated that in future she will never propose that project for discussion.
