Karabakh voice should be heard by international community: Lithuanian deputy

STEPANAKERT, SEPTEMBER 1, ARMENPRESS: The delegation of Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group, led by the Deputy of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Chairperson of the Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group Dalia Kuodite, visited Stepanakert on September 1 and met with the members of the Artsakh Parliament.  
 
The press service of the National Assembly of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic informed Armenpress that during the meeting the sides discussed the main directions of further cooperation, which relate to the legislative, educational, scientific, cultural and health fields.
 
Then the delegation of Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group was hosted by the Speaker of the Karabakh Parliament Ashot Ghulyan.
 
The Deputy of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Chairperson of the Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group Dalia Kuodite stated that when establishing the friendship group they were guided by the idea that Artsakh was the first in the former Soviet Union to raise its freedom flag and the voice of Artsakh should be heard by the international community.
 
On August 30 the members of Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group, led by the Deputy of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Chairperson of the Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group Dalia Kuodite, arrived in Yerevan. They were hosted by the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and the Vice Speaker of the National Assembly Eduard Sharmazanov. The members of Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group, led by the Deputy of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Chairperson of the Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group Dalia Kuodite, visited the Tsitsernakaberd Memorial and paid tribute to the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.
