Lithuanian MP highlights importance of dissemination of truth about Karabakh issue

YEREVAN, AUGUST 30, ARMENPRESS. Today on August 30, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted the Deputy of Seimas of the Republic of Lithuania, Chairperson of the Lithuania-Karabakh friendship group Dalia Kuodite together with her delegation.

The Mass Media and Public Relations Department of the President’s Office informed “Armenpress” that the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the guests in our country and stated with satisfaction the fact that the Armenian-Lithuanian relations are dynamically developing: a good legal-contractual basis has been created for the development of cooperation and relations between the two countries, a high level permanent political dialogue is present, consultations are regularly held between the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, mutual visits are held on various levels, and diplomatic representations are functioning in both countries.

Among other things, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan expressed his gratitude to the Lithuanian MPs, who, along with the establishment of the friendship group with Armenia, also created a friendship group with the Nagorno Karabakh Republic in the Seimas, which, according to the President, is of a certain importance and reminds about the solidarity and mutual support of the Armenian and Lithuanian peoples on the way of struggle for the restoration of independence in late 1980s and beginning of 1990s. In addition, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated that this also certifies about the dedication of the Lithuanian people to the democratic values.
