Thanks to the quality development in tourism, holding a variety of events and activities, Armenia becoming more recognizable and a variety of other factors, every year the number of tourists visiting our country grows incessantly. In an interview with reporters, said the Head of the Tourism Department of the Ministry of Economy Mekhak Apresyan, introducing the results of the first half of 2014, which, according to him, are also satisfactory.

"We have recorded 17.3 percent increase in incoming tourism industry. 495 thousand 957 tourists visited Armenia, which exceeds the index of the same period last year," as reports "Armenpress”, said Mekhak Apresyan.

According to him, many tourists visit the regions. "If according to the 2006-7 period statistics 25-36 year old tourists in total tourist visits stood at around 6 percent, in 2013 the survey results show an interesting picture - the index has reached to 34 percent. The number of young tourists has grown by 28 percent," he said.
