Russia's military will learn to manage unmanned aerial vehicles in Armenia

YEREVAN, AUGUST 19, ARMENPRESS. During a three-day field gatherings more than 100 servicemen of the Russian military base in Armenia will learn the management of unmanned aerial vehicles, as reports “Armenpress”, the press service of the Southern Military District said. Training began in the high-mountain training complexes "Kamkhut" and "Alagyaz".

"The peculiarity of field training is to train the soldiers to carry out takeoff, control of flight and landing of modern UAVs "Navodchik-2", “Forpost”,"Orlan-10 " and "Zastava" in the highlands 1500 meters above sea level," reads the message.

It is noted that the UAVs are used by the Russian military base in Armenia for the purpose of military intelligence, while carrying out tactical exercises and multi-kilometer marches at high altitudes. Contract soldiers serve in the managing units of unmanned aerial vehicles, who were trained in specialized centers.
