YEREVAN, JULY 29, ARMENPRESS. Within the programme of "Food Security and Economic Justice" of Oxfam in Armenia the presentation of the  Policy Programme “Gender Mainstreaming of the 2012-2015 Tavush Marz Socio-Economic Development” took place on July 29, in Tavush Regional Administration building.

As "Armenpress" was informed from the Regional Administration Information Department, Programme Manager Vadim Uzunyan and Head of the Department of staff development programs and analysis of Tavush Regional Administration Gurgen Harutyunyan delivered opening speech. Afterwards Tamara Hovnatanyan, an expert on gender issues, presented the overall descriptions and goals of the programme, as well as gender monitoring results. She stressed the importance of ensuring equal participation of women and men in the development process, as well as the strategic document and its guiding principles in the field of agriculture.
