YEREVAN, JULY 26, ARMENPRESS. On 26 July Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan signed a decree on awarding posthumously NKR Defense Army's N division's private Khachatour Badasyan for bravery shown during the defense of the NKR state border with the "For Courage" medal. The Central Information Department of the Artsakh President’s Office informed “Armenpress” about this.

The rival made an attempt of sabotage and reconnaissance penetration in Northern and North-Eastern directions of the line of contact of the Karabakh-Azerbaijani opposing armies on July 26. The Press Service of the Karabakh Defense Army informed “Armenpress” that due to the operative actions of the Defense Army’s front units, the latter was discovered in time and was thrown back to the primary positions suffering losses and leaving a vast amount of technical means and arms.

Unfortunately, soldier Khachatur L. Badasyan (born in 1994) died of a lethal gunshot wound he received in the result of the actions. The Defense Army of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic shares the pain of heavy loss and expresses its support to Kh. Badasyan’s family members, relatives and fellow servicemen. An investigation was launched to reveal the details of the incident.
