Thanks to him people from around the world learned about the national Korean issues, as well as about the situation in Korea. World-famous Korean filmmaker Kim Ki-duk is in Armenia in the frames of "Golden Apricot" 11th International Film Festival.

During the press conference, the renowned film director thanked all the Armenians who are interested in his movies.

"Before coming here I read about Armenia on the Internet. I have already walked through Yerevan for three hours. Today I was in the market, I saw that there are poor people, yesterday I walked in Cascade. Armenia is very similar to Korea. Starting today, I will read and learn many things about Armenia. Formerly I did not know about "Golden Apricot" film festival, but I met Peter van Bueren and learned about it. Yesterday I saw Parajanov’s film and realized that the festival has a great importance for Armenia and the filmmakers. Most touching is the fact that my six films will be screened here," reports “Armenpress”, citing Kim Ki-duk.
