Armenia's "open skies" policy and tourist attractiveness presented in Tbilisi

YEREVAN, JULY 7, ARMENPRESS. The National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia takes part in the Routes Silk Road 2014 in Tbilisi, Georgia from July 6-8.

Routes Silk Road unlocks aviation and tourism potential of Asia, the CIS, Central and Eastern Europe and the Middle East, while serving as an effective platform of promotion of new airlines and development of air services.

The Public Relations Office of the National Competitiveness Foundation of Armenia informed “Armenpress” that over 250 aviation professionals, 35 airlines and 45 airports participate in the event.

During the Forum NCFA CEO Arman Khachaturyan gave a keynote. He represented the activities and results of Armenian tourism promotion and RA Government adopted “Open skies” policy, as well as the perspectives of bringing the connectedness of Armenia with the international markets to a higher level.

With the participation of RA Ministry of Economy, negotiations will be held with over 12 interested airlines to discuss the formats of entering the Armenian market.

NCFA's participation in this forum aims to promote the involvement of investments and new air carriers to Armenia.
