YEREVAN, APRIL 15, ARMENPRESS. Well-known Shakespeare “Globus” Theatre in London on April 13-14 held a concert program entitled “Concert in the candle light. Armania-on ways of Armenian song, dance and poetry”. The event was initiated by the joint efforts of “Armenian Company” cultural organization of London and “Globus” Theatre, as well as by the support of the Embassy of Armenia to the UK. Armenian folk, spiritual and classical songs and music were sounded (Narekatsi, Sayat-Nova, Yekmalyan, Komitas). The attention of the audience was also focused on extracts by modern Armenian composers Tigran Mansuryan and Vache Sharafyan’s works.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that during the concert well-known Armenian musicians residing in London made performances-violinist Levon Chilingirian, cellist Alexander Chaushian, soprano Tereza Gevorgian, harper Sevan Horoks, as well as actor Colin Herley.
