YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 17, ARMENPRESS: The Nagorno Karabakh Republic and South Ossetia were presented as independent states in the textbook, intended for the medium classes of the secondary schools of Latvia, “New world geography”, published in 2013. Armenpress reports that the Azerbaijani media informed about it, citing the Azerbaijani Diaspora sources in Riga.

The fact has angered the Azerbaijani residents of Latvia, who sent the copy of the textbook to Azerbaijan to raise a noise on that occasion. The Azerbaijani media expressed hope that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country and the Embassy of Azerbaijan will respond to the issue.
