Armenia to start scientific cooperation with Middle East countries

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 5, ARMENPRESS: The work and the financial issues of the young Armenian scientists are always in the center of attention of the State Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Armenia. Armenpress had a talk with the Chairman of the State Science Committee of the Ministry of Education and Science Samvel Harutyunyan.
- Mr. Harutyunyan, how much money is allocated in our country for the programs of the young scientists to develop the science?
- The State Science Committee intends to allocate 150 million drams for the programs of the young scientists in 2014. Though in fact we spend more money. We implement a lot of contest programs, one of the conditions of which is that one of the participants should be a young man under 35. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan stated that 100 million drams will be allocated to young foundation. We try to do more to advance the young scientists.
- What position does Armenia occupy in the region and the world with its scientific potential?
- In Armenia science has quite a considerable importance. In the CIS area the Armenian scientists are the leaders in many issues.
