YEREVAN, OCTOBER 30, ARMENPRESS: The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort on October 30. The Department for Mass Media and Public Relations of the Armenian President’s Office informed Armenpress that at the meeting the interlocutors touched upon the Armenia-European Union relations and the reforms carried out in our country with the EU assistance.

Serzh Sargsyan and Philippe Lefort exchanged ideas concerning the regional developments and the current state of the NKR conflict issue. The EU Special Representative reconfirmed the European Union’s assistance to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs directed to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.

Earlier the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia Edward Nalbandyan hosted the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia Philippe Lefort on October 29. The interlocutors touched upon the Armenia-European Union relations and the regional developments. The EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia presented the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia the results of the visit to Baku. Edward Nalbandyan drew the attention of Philippe Lefort to the militant statements and provocative actions of Azerbaijan. The EU Special Representative reconfirmed the European Union’s assistance to the efforts of the OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs directed to the peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict.
